Asian public equities represent a large universe, accounting for approximately 40% of all globally listed companies. This large universe of stocks is under-researched relative to Western markets. There are also large disparities in growth, business quality, and corporate governance within the region which leads to a high dispersion of stock returns. This provides a favorable environment for fundamental stock-picking.
